My Calling to Music Ministry

Music has been a part of my spiritual journey from the very beginning. I first cantored at my own First Holy Communion and have been singing in choirs since childhood. By the age of 14, I began cantoring professionally, discovering a calling to serve God and His people through sacred music.

It’s my great joy to serve in your musical needs

My formal studies include Musical Theatre at City College, and Vocal Performance/Ethnomusicology at UC Santa Barbara where I explored diverse musical traditions. During my time in college, I performed with a chorale, a jazz big band, and the Middle Eastern Ensemble as both a vocalist and percussionist. Along the way, I studied piano, which opened doors for me to accompany myself and later to direct youth and adult choirs.

For more than 26 years, I have had the privilege of serving at weddings, funerals, baptisms, special liturgies, and regular Sunday Masses in English, Spanish and Tagalog. Each celebration has deepened my love for song as prayer, and strengthened my belief in the power of music to bring comfort, joy, and unity.

Whether leading a congregation in song, offering a psalm at a funeral, or guiding a choir through harmony, I see music as both a ministry and a gift to be shared—a way of lifting hearts to the sacred and marking life’s most meaningful moments with beauty and reverence.
